Summer came to a wonderful close as Carl and I moved to Jackson, WY this week. It was very sad to leave my job as a professional mountain biker at Thunder Mountain Bike Park, but I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to a new community in Jackson. We have moved in with our great friends Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons and Carl has gotten a position as the lead carpenter for Habitat for Humanity.
Moving my easel and the paintings across the country was the biggest challenge – I had to disassemble all the frames, stretchers, and roll all the canvases up into a large bundle. I’m looking for work and studio space right now, hoping to reassemble my paintings and get them into galleries as soon as possible.
It’s a time of uncertainty and new adventures for me, and I’m looking forward to seeing how life will unfold for us within the next few years. I’m excited to find inspiration in this new environment, and hoping that I will be able to start painting again soon.
